Trip A4:
Cape Verde Islands- Salvador da Bahaia (Brazil) October 9-27, 2009
We leave the Cape Verde Islands and sail across the Atlantic Ocean to Brazil in about 2 ½ weeks. We will pass the equator where of course you will meet Neptune..! The trade wind is mostly easy and steady from NE or SE and we will have enough time to relax, fish, have a good time together.
After all those days on sea it's wonderful to arrive in the exciting Brazilian town of Salvador da Bahaia, with its interesting old town and marvelous beaches. If we arrive earlier than expected, we can explore this coast with his fabulous underwater world! (Bring your snorkeling gear if possible.)
Planes arrive in Salvador da Bahaia, Brazil from Europe on a regular basis.

€ 950 - With private shower and toilet in a middle (2-pers.) cabin

Trip A 5: 
Salvador da Bahia- Rio de Janeiro (October 28- November 6, 2009)
This is a breathtaking trip!!
Last year, when we made this trip we were overwhelmed by the following spectacular impressions: many sea animals such as whales (Humpbacked whales are calving in these waters at this season!!), sea lions, sea turtles, a lot of colorful big fish, etc. We will visit some tropical islands like Isla Bárbara (Parque National Marinho dos Abrolhos) and you can snorkel amongst the marine life.
The end of this trip is the exhilarating town Rio de Janeiro.
If you have additional time, book a room for some nights in a hostel (Google: Hostel Rio de Janeiro and you'll find some cheap places) and enjoy the amazing nature surrounding this city and of course the city herself!

Trip A 6:
Rio de Janeiro-Mar del Plata- Ushuaia (November 7- December 2, 2009)
This is an interesting trip for bird watchers!
The Anne-Margaretha continues its southerly sail, rather near the Brazilian and Argentinean coast, so we can see sometimes the mountains. We will reach the southern part of the Atlantic Ocean where the fauna changes: we enter the world of the huge albatrosses, petrols and other seabirds with thousands to admire. The humpback whales follow us to the south, on their way to the Antarctic where we will meet them again!! Also, the temperature is going down. The skies reveal an overwhelming beauty!
Halfway we will buy some fresh fruit and vegetables in Mar del Plata.
At the beginning of the southern summer (!) we will reach Beagle Channel and can admire the snow topped mountains of southern Argentina; it feels as if we are sailing in Switzerland! We arrive at the southernmost town in the world: Ushuaia, the end of this impressive trip and the beginning of our Antarctic trips.
If you have enough time, book a room in a hostel here, because you are now at the end of the world (Fin de Terra..) and it is really a spectacular part of the world!!
