In 2010 we will make a trip through Patagonia again!
The Patagonia Sailing Program in 2010 is definitive!
Join the the Anne-Margaretha crew for a magnificent 25-days sailing trip through Patagonia!
Our program:
-
March 10, 2010 we leave our almost home-base in Ushuaia in Southern Argentina for the Chilean harbour of PortWilliams where sailing permits await us.
-
The ramble begins along the glaciers, caletas, and uninhabited regions.
-
We will find the most beautiful anchorages, thanks to the excellent book, Nautical Guide: Patagonia & Tierra del Fuego 2nd Edition, by the expert Patagonian sailors Mariolina Rolfo and Giorgio Ardrizzi. This Italian couple has sailed in Patagonia for many years and describe the hundreds of hidden, fairy-like places. (If you find a not-described place, you can give it your name!)
-
We may find another ship in the area (That happened 1x last year...)
-
The impressing skies, the distances you can look here, the colours, the animals we'll meet... almost indescribable: whales, dolphins, seals, condors, kingfishers, parrots....
-
The slopes of the mountains have a rough vegetation; it's not always easy to walk, but if we do find a place to walk, you won’t be able to stop photographing all the colourful flowers and mosses.
-
We will come upon hot water springs and (carefully) take a bath.
-
Because we are a relative small ship ( max. 16 persons) we are allowed to leave the mainwaters. (The Chilean coastgard will still monitor us for our safety...)
-
April 3, 2010 is the end of this trip in the lively Puerto Montt. We have to “land...” and to get used again to a crowded life.
-
