Sailing together with the Anne-Margaretha?

Join us for any and all portions of this year’s delightful sailing voyages.
Our destination of 2011 will be Norway (+ Spitsbergen). Sailing with us is enjoying the sea, exploring the coastal waters ( this year of Norway), hiking, climbing etc.
The group will be 15 persons max. and that’s why guests sometimes can have influence on the trip, (depending of weather and wind..!)

On the Anne-Margaretha we will give you a welcome and safe feeling. We want you to go home with a smile on your face and hundreds of beautiful pictures ( also in your head..)

The Tall Ships’ Race

We often participate in the exhilarating Tall Ships’ Races, joining over a hundred historic vessels in one of Europe’s premier sailing races.
The TSR is a sailing race with worldwide participation. The world’s largest sailing ships, such as the Sedov and Mir race, as do smaller vessels with the minimum ship length at 30 ft. Each ship has a designated TCF= Time Correction Factor, to calculate exactly who will be the winner.
Much more important however is taking part. Fifty percent of each crew must be between the ages of 15 and 25. All ports of call greet the race participants with great nautical parties and myriad activities for the crews including sports and games.
Every town welcomes us with a spectacular crew parade and bids us farewell with a crew party.

Thanks to your participant’s badge, you are an instant VIP and all kinds of cultural events open their doors to you. So you really are an integral part of the big party!

During the race, each vessel reports its position to Race Control twice daily.
On the homefront, friends and family can follow our course on the Internet.
Between the two races, mariners participate in the “Cruise in Company.” Speed is not important now, but rather having a good time with other ships on side trips, at barbecues and around the campfire.

The most important prize to win is The Sail Training International Friendship Throphy awarded by participating vessels to the sailing ship or boat that best promoted international understanding and friendship during the race .

In 2012 we will be again in Spitsbergen, so no Race…., but sometime in the future our plan is to take part in the Race again!
